Police are releasing more information about an explosion that occurred earlier this week in Muddy Creek Township.
According to State Police, the incident Wednesday afternoon on Sawyer Road was as a result of improvised explosive devices / homemade fireworks.
An unnamed 48-year-old Butler man is hospitalized in critical condition. A female was also injured as a result of the explosion and needed treatment at the hospital.
The State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Section investigated this incident.
