Last month was National Drug Take Back Month. But what can you do with old prescription drugs that you now no longer need?
If you live in Butler you can bring them back to the Butler City Police Department. If you live outside of the City, you can call a local department to see if they collect old prescription drugs or if they know where you can bring the old drugs.
The drop off locations are no questions asked and after they are collected by state law enforcement they are destroyed.
Anything with needles are asked to be covered and any liquids are asked to be sealed tight in a bottle.
If you are unable to bring the old prescription drugs to a department you can call county police to pick up the drugs.
