A woman from Portersville is out hundreds of dollars due to an online scam.
State police say the victim was in her mid-70s and had been talking to someone online for about three months. The scammer then convinced the victim to send him a $500 Apple gift card.
She has not heard from the scammer since.
No information was available on the suspect; anyone with information should call state police.
