A portion of I-79 in Slippery Rock was closed earlier today after a tractor trailer accident.
It happened around 9:30 this morning near mile marker 101—which is just north of the Route 422 interchange. Both north bound lanes were closed between the Rt. 422 and Rt. 108 exits. Dispatchers say no one was injured, but the tractor trailer jack knifed.
Traffic was significantly delayed while emergency crews were on the scene.
The road reopened to drivers around 2pm this afternoon.
