A stretch of the PA Turnpike will be closing this weekend as crews remove a bridge in Bedford County.
Officials say the closure is planned for an 86 miles stretch between New Stanton Exit 75 and Breezewood exit 161 interchanges.
It will begin at 11 p.m. Saturday and continue through 6 a.m. Sunday. Crews will blast to remove the Country Ridge Road Bridge which carries traffic over the Turnpike in Bedford Township south central PA.
A more than 100 mile detour will be posted at both exits because shorter alternative routes cannot safely accommodate traffic volume.
