4 PM FRIDAY UPDATE: The result of damaging winds Thursday night is that there are still some local residents without power and several roads are just now reopening.
A little more than 500 Butler County West Penn Power customers are experiencing outages as of late Friday afternoon. Nearly 2,600 homes were without power at one point Friday morning, according to First Energy. Some of those outages are not expected to be restored until Saturday night.
A little over 100 Central Electric Cooperative customers are still experiencing power outages across the CEC service area which includes many residents of Butler County in Mercer, Venango, and Parker townships.
Dick Road has reopened between Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township and Country Lane Road in Franklin Township. A portion of Renfrew Road between Hicks Road and Three Degree Road in Penn Township is now open. Also a portion of Winfield Road between Bicker Road and Clearfield Road in Winfield Township that was close early Friday has reopened.
