There are still thousands in Butler County without power this morning.
This comes after Saturday’s strong storms, which knocked out power to over 17,000 county residents at one point. There were numerous reports of trees and wires down all throughout the county.
So for the second straight weekend, crews were busy trying to clear roads and restore power sources.
The outages that remain are all throughout the county. As of 10 a.m., West Penn Power had around 3,300 customers without power; Penn Power had about 480.
A spokesperson for First Energy says that residents will have power back by 11 p.m. Tuesday. However, they note that not everyone will have to wait that long as power is being restored continuously.
Central Electric Cooperative says just over 150 customers in the county are without power this morning.
