Beginning tonight, there will be more chances to play the Powerball each week.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced that a third weekly drawing will now happen every Monday night.
Officials say that adding an extra day to the drawing does not change any odds or prize money.
“By adding the Monday night drawing we expect to see faster-growing jackpots, and in turn, an increase in sales as we attract new players,” Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko said in a press release. “And that’s good news for Pennsylvania seniors, who benefit from vital, life-sustaining programs that the Lottery funds.”
The Powerball is a lottery game that spans over multiple states.
