Anyone interested in learning more about bees are invited to an event scheduled for later this week at a local state park.
On Wednesday (June 7th) Moraine State Park staff will lead a session on bees at Pavilion #7 at the McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore.
During the session, which is expected to run from 6pm to 7:30pm, participants will learn about the life cycle of bees as well as how humans benefit from them and how we can help them. At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to build their own bee box.
Boxes will be limited to one per family group, and registration is required on the DCN Calendar of Events website. Those interested in building a bee box should bring $10 cash on the day of the event.
