A private investigator is offering the largest reward ever posted in the case of Cherrie Mahan.
Steve Ridge, who is a private eye based out of Iowa, will be in Butler today to talk about the case. He’s offering $100,000 for the location and positive identification of Mahan’s remains.
Ridge has made similar offers in other missing persons cases, which he says helps spur new leads.
He’s expected to make a formal announcement about the reward later today.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Mahan’s disappearance.
