A Prospect man is in the Butler County Prison after attacking a healthcare worker at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The incident happened Saturday when Butler City Police were transporting 38-year-old Jonathan Pollio to Butler Memorial Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and treatment when he attempted to flee custody.
Pollio allegedly lied to police while in custody about having an injury. When they arrived at the hospital, Pollio tried to escape.
Police were able to take Pollio back into custody but restraints and handcuffs were then used by police. During that time, Pollio threatened to kill a healthcare worker and bit another on the leg.
Several charges were filled including two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and resisting arrest. Pollio is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
