A Prospect man died over the weekend after he drowned in Ocean City, Maryland.
It happened last Friday around 8:30 p.m. when police were called to help swimmers in distress. According to a post by a family relative, 33-year-old Josh White was with his son in the ocean when the waters got stronger. The son was rescued by his mother, but White continued to struggle.
When police arrived, they said bystanders were helping White get out of the ocean.
He was then taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Spencer Geibel Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of White, who leaves behind three children.
