The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission will allow for the resumption of some energy sales and marketing as long as they take place at outdoor public events.
The PUC recently approved a petition to partially rescind an emergency order put in place in March that prohibited utility suppliers from conducting in-person sales and marketing activities at some events.
This new order will allow for some of those sales and marketing activities to resume as long as they are taking place in compliance with all state health and safety orders as well as PUC regulations.
The ban on door-to-door sales remains in effect as long as the Governor’s Proclamation of Disaster Emergency continues or unless otherwise specified by the PUC.
