The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission will hold two public hearings next week about the proposed sale of the Butler Area Sewer Authority assets to Pennsylvania American Water.
The hearings will take place over the telephone on Tuesday, July 18th at 6 p.m. as well as Wednesday, July 19th also at 6 p.m.

PA American Water applied to the PUC in April for transfer by sale of the BASA assets as well as the ability to provide wastewater service to residents of Butler City along with portions of East Butler Borough, Butler, Center, Connoquenessing, Oakland, and Summit Townships.
