Quality Life Services is expected to receive its first round of vaccines at two of their locations on Thursday.
According to Ann Wermuth, Director of Brand Management, the vaccines will be going only to their New Castle and Johnstown locations Thursday, December 31, 2020. She told our newsroom that Quality Life Services is not making the decisions on which location will receive the vaccine nor on what date they’ll arrive. That is being directed through CVS and/or Walgreens. News Castle has partnered with Walgreen and the Johnstown location has partnered with CVS. The two vaccination dates just so happen to fall on the same day.
Wermuth was not sure of the exact dates for the remaining QLS locations, although she hopes that they may see all locations have the opportunity to be vaccinated in the next couple of weeks. Quality Life Services has 10 total locations.
Quality Life Services does not have to accommodate for storage of the vaccine. Wermuth explained that if an organization does not have such means, then they could partner with CVS and Walgreens for on-site inoculations; which is what QLS decided to move forward with.
This will be done on a voluntary basis, although staff and residents receiving the vaccine will need to give permission to do so.
