Karns City quarterback Mason Martin could be discharged from the hospital sometime early next month.
According to Mason’s father, Mason is making improvements in his recovery and rehabilitation even as medical experts continue to adjust medicine, fluids, and therapies.
Fluids help to control Mason’s heart rate and he is receiving muscle relaxers to reduce tightness but they can make him drowsy. He is getting better at sipping water out of a cup and was able to eat some peanut butter. His weight has climbed up to 144 pounds.
His father went on to say that although Mason is scheduled to be discharged next month, he has not been able to take full advantage of therapy due to the trial and error process with different medicines
