Those interested in local railroad history are invited to a presentation coming up this week at Moraine State Park.
Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. a talk about the History of the Western Allegheny Railroad will be given on Moraine’s North Shore at McDanel’s Area Pavilion 7.
Author Polly Shaw will present a free program about the approximately 30 years at the beginning of the 20th century when coal, limestone, and passengers traveled through the Muddy Creek basin which is now mostly under Lake Arthur.
Pre-registration is not required but all applicable health regulations will be followed.
