Ralph Edward Cooper, 82, of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 23, 2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 26, 1939, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Leroy Cooper and the late Edna Marie Young Cooper.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a Rigger for Armco Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1998. Ralph was a member of # 769 William H. Miller Lodge F and A M, A.A.S.R. (Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite) Valley of New Castle, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh, and Caravan 14 of Butler. He was also a member of the Meridian Veterans Club and served as Past Commander of Meridian Veterans Club; Ducks Unlimited and served as a Past State Youth Chairman of Ducks Unlimited. Ralph was a member and Trustee of Unionville Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was a life member of the Butler City Hunting and Fishermen’s Club. Ralph was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He loved to travel.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Sally Jean Cooper, who he married on September 2, 1961; three sisters, Janet M. (Edgar) McGee of Zelienople, PA, Judith A. Bodnar of Penn Hills, PA, Jeannie E. (J. Donald) Gamble of Renfrew, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lewis L. Cooper; two nephews, John Gamble, and Rob Fredley.
There will be no public visitation.
Private Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
