Born January 8, 1925, in West Newton, PA, he was the son of the late Alphonse E. and Elula A. (Messner) Passaro.
Ralph was a graduate of West Newton High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He worked for West Penn Power, Montgomery Ward, and retired from Martin Tire of Jeanette. Ralph was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Butler where he proudly sang in the choir for 30 years, and was also a member of the Victory Lodge #272, VFW Post #249, and American Legion Post #117 in Butler. Ralph was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, and enjoyed watching them play.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly A. (Shirey) Passaro, whom he married on August 14, 1965, three sons; Tom (Donna) Passaro, Steven (Kelley) Passaro, and Michael (Joyce) Lesser; three daughters; Mary (Daniel) Morningstar, Phyllis Mead, and Kimberly (Alan) Williams; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Kerr) Passaro, two sisters; Helen (Lud) Pocivanik and Donath (Raymond) Mayer, and 2 granddaughters.
