Ralph James Mahoney, 99, of Butler, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, OH.
He was born January 16, 1918 in Butler, the son of the late Daniel and Pearl Leona (Sheiring) Mahoney.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He retired from Armco in the pickling department in 1981. He enjoyed going to Bradenton, FL with his wife in the winters.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Joyce Davis of Howland, OH, Karen Fisher of Seattle, WA, Susan (Raymond) Smochek of Slippery Rock and Amy (Frank) Bruno of Slippery Rock; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen D. Mahoney, granddaughter, Rebecca Fisher, great grandson, Robert James, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6-8PM.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 27th at 11AM with Rev. James Lewis officiating.
Interment in the Butler County Memorial Park with military honors.
