A unique medical clinic is coming to the Butler area this weekend.
It’s known as Remote Area Medical, also called RAM, and it will take place at the Butler Intermediate Saturday and Sunday.
The clinic will offer free health care services, including dental cleanings and fillings. There will also be eye exams and the ability to make eyeglasses on-location.
Residents can also get general medical exams.
Lynn McKinnis helped organize the event and is looking forward to offering this service to Butler.
“These basic health needs are something that all of us need, and with the current state of healthcare in America we are not getting them,” McKinnis said.
Care is provided on a first come, first serve basis according to McKinnis.
“We open the parking lot at midnight Friday, so you can come in and sleep in your car as early as you want or you can come during the day,” McKinnis said.
The doors open at 6 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The clinic runs until 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. No form of ID or any other information is needed.
