Raymond E. McIndoe, 91, of Butler, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Concordia at Cabot.
He was born January 23, 1928 in Butler, the son of the late William and Edna (Guthrie) McIndoe.
Ray was a Korean US Army veteran. He had been a goat driver and retired from Armco after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Butler First Church of the Nazarene. Ray’s hobby was tinkering and repairing televisions.
Surviving are his wife, Betty L. (Huffman) McIndoe; 2 sons, Wesley (Annette) McIndoe of Butler and Dean (Mary Alice) McIndoe of Butler; 4 granddaughters, Deanna McIndoe, Kylie McIndoe, Krystal (Todd) McGee and Ashley (Adrian) Organ; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley (Robert) Bark of Florida and Kathryn McIndoe of Texas; 2 brothers, Richard “Dick” (Gail) McIndoe of Iowa and William (Patricia) Fay of Butler.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert McIndoe and William McIndoe and his grandson, Dean McIndoe Jr.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday, December 2nd from 2-4 PM & 6 PM until the time of the service at 7:30 PM with Rev. Leon Blaise officiating.
Committal service and Military Honors will be held at Greenlawn Burial Estates Chapel on Tuesday, December 3rd at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite Veteran association.
