The deadline to submit real estate tax payments without a penalty for several local communities is fast approaching.
Butler County Treasurer Diane Marburger reminds those living in Butler City, Callery, Connquenessing, Valencia and West Sunbury Borough that the final day to pay 2018 county real estate taxes is Saturday, June 30. Any tax payments received in person on or postmarked June 30, 2018 will be honored at the face tax amount.
Residents living in the prior mentioned communities can pay their taxes in one of three ways. They can hand deliver to the treasurer’s office in the Government Center on West Diamond Street, or mail payment to “Butler Treasurer” at P.O. Box 1208 Butler, PA 16003. Payments can also be made online on the county website, www.co.butler.pa.us, on the “Pay Taxes” page.
The treasurer’s office also says that a penalty will be assessed on any mailed payments that are postmarked after June 30. Those who hand deliver can also do so on Monday, July 2 from 8:30am to 4:15pm without a penalty.
