As many start planning their summer vacations, AAA is reminding travelers that they’ll need to have a REAL ID to fly.
Starting May 7th, anyone flying domestically will need to get the proper identification. It will also need to be used to access a federal facility, or enter a military base.
You can get a REAL ID at PennDOT Driver License Centers or a REAL ID Center. You’ll need to provide:
- Proof of identity: birth certificate or valid passport
- Proof of Social Security number: must be original card
- Proof of all legal name changes
- Two proofs of current address: current driver’s license, vehicle registration card, or utility bill.
AAA officials say anyone who got their driver’s license after 2003 may pre-qualify as documents may be on file.
