Rebecca (Fleming) Oesterling

Rebecca (Fleming) Oesterling, 78, of Butler passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born in Butler on April 24, 1946, to the late Dale and Grace (Beikert) Fleming. Rebecca graduated from Butler High School in 1964, and worked for BASD for many years as a cafeteria monitor and paraprofessional. She also worked for several businesses and organizations as a bookkeeper. Rebecca was a member of the Crossfire United Methodist Church. And was known as “Mrs. O” to the kids at school and “Oma” to her grandchildren. Rebecca loved working with kids and exploring the back roads of PA. She enjoyed going on “Bologna, Milk and Cheese” runs and visiting family in Alaska. Rebecca was the beloved wife of the late John Oesterling, whom she was married to for nearly 58 years; mother of Kris-Ann (Daniel) Wilcox, Marsha (John) Blum, Paula (John) DeRunk, Ryan, Sara, and Jane Oesterling; grandmother to 23 grandchildren; great grandmother of 3.
