A recent graduate of Slippery Rock University has now graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.
U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman First Class Malika Fields completed an eight week program that included military discipline as well as physical fitness and basic warfare skills.
Those who complete this training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Fields earned a bachelor’s degree from SRU last year. Her parents and siblings live in Pittsburgh.
