Red Cross Asks For Help From Donors To Avoid Shortage

You have three local opportunities to give blood over the next three weeks and help the American Red Cross prevent a blood shortage.

Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cranberry will host a blood drive Thursday from 1:30 to 7 p.m. A second opportunity will take place June 8^th at the Butler VA on North Duffy Road. Also, Grace Church of Harmony is hosting a drive June 13^th.

In order to counteract what is usually a steep decline in donations around this time of year, those who donate before June 10^th will receive a $5 gift card to an online retailer. Those who donate over the Memorial Day weekend will receive an exclusive Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last.

Those interested or able to donate are asked to make an appointment by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
