The American Red Cross says they have seen an uptick in donations over the last couple of weeks.
Officials say there has been an “encouraging increase in the blood supply” but still stress the importance of more donations.
They continue to say that those with type O blood are especially needed to make donations.
The Red Cross is also giving away a free Godzilla and Kong t-shirt to those who donate blood over the next week.
The next local blood drive will take place Wednesday, April 3rd from noon to 5:30 p.m. at Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock. Visit RedCrossBlood.org for more information.
