Healthy community members are encouraged to help neighbors in need through participation in an upcoming blood drive.
The American Red Cross drive is coming up Wednesday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Cranberry Township Elks Lodge on Route 19.
Blood supply remains critical, especially type O and those able to donate platelets. Anyone who donates at this drive will receive a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card by email. Donors will also be entered into a drawing for gas for a year or a trip to Cedar Point.
Anyone able to donate should make an appointment through the website of the American Red Cross, the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Most people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are able to donate but it is important to know the manufacturer of the vaccine received.
