The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler will contract with a local company to provide engineering services for street reconstruction planned for next summer.
The authority’s board approved the proposal from Gateway Engineers at an amount not to exceed $15,000. The streets to be improved next year include Pepper, Marvin, Grant and Ritter as well as Morton, Wilkins and Hetti Avenues.
Gateway will be creating bid specifications as well as doing inspections on the project. The money to pay for the engineering services as well as the actual reconstruction will come from a Community Development Block Grant.
New authority member Tom Donaldson was elected Vice Chairman by the other board members.
