A park in downtown Butler could be undergoing renovations in the future.
County officials say they are in the preliminary stages of a redesign project for Diamond Park on Main Street.
Some of the initial ideas include the addition of a pavilion or gazebo, along with permanent tables and chairs. Commissioners say more events are happening in that location and this would give groups an option instead of renting tents.
The fountain however may be eliminated to make way for green space and another water feature.
Commissioners say it’s still very early in the process and no timetable was available.
