Congressman Mike Kelly of Butler is denying claims that he helped transfer a slate of fake electors to another lawmaker.
Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin said in a radio interview that Kelly’s office sent him a fake elector document that was intended to reach Vice President Mike Pence.
Kelly’s office vehemently denies the claims.
In a statement, Kelly says “Johnson’s statements about Representative Kelly are patently false. Mr. Kelly has not spoken to Senator Johnson for the better part of the decade, and has no knowledge of the claims Mr. Johnson is making in regards to the 2020 election.”
