Republican Congressman Mike Kelly of Butler is introducing legislation that he says would ban ballot harvesting, provide video surveillance of ballot drop boxes, and permit poll watchers from at least two appointed representatives of campaigns.
Kelly said in a press release that the administration of the election in some states has caused “millions of Americans to lose faith in the electoral system.”
The bill is named The Protect Election Integrity Act of 2020 and it serves as the companion bill to a similar one in the Senate.
