A local lawmaker is joining with colleagues to support Israel in response to recent attacks.
Congressman Mike Kelly of Butler referred to Israel as “our strongest ally in the Middle East” while also referring to the actions of the Hamas organization as “senseless and unprecedented attacks”.
Kelly went on to say that he supports the right of Israel to “protect and defend itself and its people in this war”.
These remarks came as the U.S. House passed a bipartisan resolution Tuesday to stand with Israel as well as condemn the actions of Hamas.
