Congressman Conor Lamb has been long rumored to be exploring a run for Senate next year. It appears he’s closer to making that official.
Multiple outlets are reporting that the Democrat who represents a portion of Butler County will be making an official announcement next week.
Lamb would be the second notable candidate from Western Pennsylvania to seek the seat currently held by Republican Pat Toomey.
Current Lieutenant Governor and former Braddock mayor John Fetterman has already announced his candidacy.
If Lamb joins the field, it will bring the number of candidates to 10.
