A new report has found that 12 percent of bridges in the Pittsburgh region are in poor condition and one of the most traveled bridges in need of repair is in Butler County.
National Transportation Research Nonprofit released a study that highlighted some of the most highly traveled bridges in poor condition. Most of the bridges are in Allegheny County, but the Rochester Road bridge in Cranberry Township came in at ninth, with an estimated 17,000 travelers passing that road daily.
That bridge is set for repairs though, as part of work to expand a portion of the PA Turnpike. Work though has yet to begin.
