A lawyer from Grove City will be the Republican candidate in the special election for the 8th legislative district.
Tim Bonner was selected by the GOP at a meeting last night in Grove City.
Bonner has been practicing law in Western PA since 1975 and has served on numerous boards, including the Grove City Medical Center.
He told our newsroom that he has had a lifelong passion for public service, and that he was honored to be chosen as the candidate.
Bonner also said he will be running for the seat in the Republican primary in April.
The Democratic candidate has not been announced. The special election to replace former state representative Tedd Nesbit is set for March 17th.
