With a majority of Butler County’s mail-in ballots now processed, the races for state house are becoming clear.
In the 8th District, Republican Tim Bonner wins his first official term by defeating Democrat Phil Heasley.
Republican Marci Mustello also accomplished the same feat last night, winning the 11th District over Democrat Sam Doctor.
In the 12th District, Democrat Daniel Smith recorded 16,000 votes, but still lost by about 10,000 votes to Republican Daryl Metcalfe who wins his 11th term.
In the 14th District, Jim Marshall has been reelected.
That also is the case in the 64th District for R. Lee James.
Republican Aaron Bernstine has won in the 10th District, which spans Lawrence, Beaver, and Butler Counties.
