The amount of revenue the state brought in during March continues to be more than expected.
The Department of Revenue announced that collections totaled $6.2 billion last month.
This is over 6% more than anticipated, and the fiscal year-to-date collections are above estimate by nearly one percent.
Sales tax receipts continue to be a driver of revenue, bringing in $1.3 billion in April which is about $85 million over estimate. Personal income tax revenue was $3.5 billion and corporation tax revenue was $729 million. The Motor License Fund which includes gas taxes collected over $250 million last month, slightly less than anticipated but the yearly total remains 2% more than estimated.
