Motorists in Cranberry Township will soon get to experience another part of a road renovation and expansion project.
Various county, state, and local officials will assemble Saturday at 11 a.m. for a ceremonial ribbon cutting on the next step of the Freedom Road corridor project.
Work on this project to expand multimodal improvements from Commonwealth Drive to Haine School Road began in 2021 and wrapped up earlier this year. The next phase of this project began last year and will include expansion and improvements from Haine School Road to Powell Road.
Projects along the Freedom Road and Route 228 corridors are planned to receive work totaling over $62 million in grant money over the coming years.
