Richard B. Galante, II, age 66, of Butler, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born August 13, 1955 in Butler, he was the son of Avelin L. Gaudino Galante and the late Richard B. Galante, Sr.
A graduate of Butler High School, Rick received his bachelor’s degree from Clarion University.
He was the business development manager for EFD Associates.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Rick especially loved the Penguins. He also enjoyed his almost daily visits to Cummings Candy & Coffee House on Main Street in downtown Butler.
Rick is survived by his son, Matthew Galante; his mother, Avelin Galante; his fiancée and best friend, Rene Ball; four sisters, Victoria Galante, Michele Schidemantle and her husband, Peter, Tina Horsman and her husband, Bill, and Danielle Rossmiller and her husband, Joe; one stepdaughter, Kelsey Ball; one step-grandson, Maxwell Bucholtz; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard B. Galante, Sr., who passed away July 11, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to The Lighthouse Foundation, 116 Browns Hill Rd., Valencia, PA 16059.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler.
