Richard “Dick” Stockard

Richard “Dick” Stockard, 81, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, November 28, 2024. He was born in Butler on November 25, 1943, to the late James and Ruth (Hutchison) Stockard. Dick attended Butler High School and graduated from Penn State University. He was employed at Howard Hanna Real Estate for over 20 years. For those who knew Dick, he was an eternally optimistic soul who always saw the best in people. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and friends, playing with his dogs; Bridgette and Brie, and watching Pittsburgh sports teams. Dick was the beloved husband of Alberta (Patten) Stockard; father of Todd (Jill) Stockard, Eric Stockard; stepfather of Tammy (Brad) Dumbaugh, Brian (Kim) Thomas, and Tim (Steve) Thomas; brother of Kevin (Shelly) Hutchison; grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, James Stockard and his sister, Maureen Hutchison. All services were held privately through SPENCER D.
