Richard Maire

Richard Maire, 67, of Butler passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024. He was born in Butler on January 18, 1957, to the late John and Joan Maire. Richard graduated from Butler High School and earned his associate’s degree in RHVAC from Triangle Tech. He retired from Slippery Rock University in January of 2024. Richard was known for being a great husband, the best girl dad, an amazing grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and watching the Steelers. Richard was the beloved husband of Lucille (Hutchens) Maire since their marriage on July 9, 1977; father of Tonya (Jason) Kildoo and Kathy (Keith) Gary; brother of Wally Maire and Tina (Jim) Morrison; grandfather of Ashley (Jake) Ishman, Madison and Tyler Kildoo, and Brandon Washington Jr. Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, John Maire, Jr and his nephew, Richard J. Maire. Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD.
