Rita Geraldine Marzullo-Wagner of Butler, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 91 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Rita was born in Butler on April 19, 1930 to the late Raymond and Mary Steighner. Anyone who knew Rita knew she was always the life of the party and had a radiant personality that always left everyone laughing and smiling. She loved spending time with her family and friends, attending local dances, watching her beloved Golden Girls, and telling jokes to anyone and everyone that would listen. She is survived by her sister, Joan (Joe) Tomsey of Butler; her son Frank (Catherine) Marzullo of Love Lady Tx; her daughter Cynthia Halin of Butler; her eight grandchildren, Bobbie Jo (Mike) Gibson, Chasity (Brad) Wilbert, Blaise (Shiffara) Steadman, Raymond (Kiley) Yaracs, Nathan (Tracy) Steadman, Cassandra (Josh) Seth, Nicholas (Shannon) Marzullo, and Anthony Marzullo. She also loved spending time with her 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her son Walter Yaracs; two brothers Regis and Howard Steighner; her sister Ruth Fiala; an infant sister Irene; her late husbands Lloyd Wagner and James Marzullo, and her beloved friend Joe Baker the Candlestick Maker. Her friends will be received on Wednesday, June 2nd from 6-8 PM in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001, WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Herman. Her burial will be held privately.
