An upcoming event this weekend looks to give residents a hands-on opportunity to learn more about nature at a local park.
“Sustainable Landcare Festival” is happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ritts Park in the City of Butler.
Organizers say the day will include the opportunity to create natural art projects, reconnect with nature through yoga, speak with experts about tree care, and view a live demonstration of tree climbing.
Visitors to this free public event will also be able to join trash pick up efforts, investigate wildflower gardens, check out new trees, and sign up to be a volunteer.
The gathering is being organized by the Community Tree Resources—which help plant trees at Ritts Park in 2021.
