The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the USL after they beat the Birmingham Legion FC on Saturday night by a final of 7-0.
The Riverhounds, who have the first seed in this year’s postseason, were led by Neco Brett who scored four goals. Pittsburgh native Robbie Mertz also added one goal. Saturday’s contest was played in front of a record crowd of 5,627 at Highmark Stadium. Last night’s win was Pittsburgh’s first postseason win.
The Riverhounds will host the fourth seeded Louisville City FC next Saturday (November 2nd) at 7pm.
