Robert G. “Bob” Jamison, 95, of Butler, PA, formerly of Renfrew, passed away on November 13, 2022, at the Newhaven Court.
He was born March 12, 1927, in Meridian, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas Harrison Jamison and the late Catherine Saunders Jamison.
Bob retired from the United States Air Force, after serving 20 years, from 1945 – 1966. He then went to work for Warehouse Electrical Supply for 15 years, retiring in 1981. Bob was a member of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Trustee. He was a member of the State American Legion #945. Bob also enjoyed gardening and raising livestock.
Bob is survived by his five sons, Robert G. (Katie) Jamison of Evans City, PA, Thomas D. (Maggie) Jamison of Lebanon, PA, R. Bryan (Michelle) Jamison of Ross Twp, PA, Scott R. (Carol) Jamison of Evans City, PA, Michael (Amber) Jamison of Prospect, PA; two daughters, Linda D. (Randy) Carpenter of Fairborn, OH, Carol L. (Lee) Dreyer of Butler, PA; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Jamison, who he married on June 24, 1954, and who passed away on September 9, 2017; four sisters; one brother; and one nephew.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Merry Meloy, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
