A local facility for those in need of shelter has been chosen to receive funding to help with technology access.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services recently announced that a total of over $420,000 in grant funding has been awarded to 59 family homeless, women’s, and domestic violence shelters.
One of the groups on that list is Robin’s Home which is a non-profit organization that offers supportive housing for women veterans and their children located on East Pearl Street in Butler.
The funding will specifically be used for improving internet access and purchasing computer equipment for parents at the shelter to use for job and housing searches. Children will also be able to use the internet access and equipment to complete school work or attend class.
