The Slippery Rock University football team officially signed a total of 32 incoming players on National Signing Day Wednesday. The Rock signed seven mid-year transfer students who are already on campus for spring practices. Three players are Division I transfers, including Knoch graduate Mac Christy, who transfers in to The Rock to play tight end after originally attending West Virginia. The new class includes five players from 2017 state championship programs and players from five different states.
The excitement at the Division I level was tempered because of an original signing day in December, but Pitt added five new players including a four-star running back. Penn State completed what many feel is a top-five recruiting class.
