Slippery Rock University wide receiver Kyle Sheets has been selected as a first team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. Sheets is one of just two receivers in the country to receive the first honor. He caught a team-high 76 passes for just under 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns for The Rock this season. And he missed all but three snaps in the opening game after being injured on his team’s first offensive possession.
Sheets was joined by teammate Cohen Russell to become the only players from the same team in the nation to top 1,100 yards this season.
